Sssshhhhhhh...To Be Silent
But not in the bad way, like not speaking up when the vulnerable are being slaughtered and beaten and carted away.
To Be Silent in magikal ways. Not blabbing about our intentions and spell working and prayers. Can't trust the internet or technology. Never know who's listening (yes I'm aware of the irony as I type this on a public blog.)
Do as Tricksters do and work from the shadows. Work with those on the Other side. Work with other shapeshifters.
Two posts from Virtual Fire Proto-Grove:
Three Messages from Loki to the World by John Beckett
Aye, I've been told the same from Loki, Hekate, and other entities, especially this year. The importance of joy and shapeshifting during these Tower Times. Messages that have been given multiple times during the omens, and not just from me.
Joy, protections, shapeshifting.
Loki's been teaching me shapeshifting for a while, and while I could only focus on how I suck with masking with neurodivergence, He was trying to show me masking for protection....or work in the shadows like Tricksters do.
I understand what Loki was teaching me now.
Some of us are meant to be public and build communities, and others not so much. Reminding me of the many past hidden heroes who weren't so public with their intentions and work. How many looked the part in public, but behind the scenes they may have been hiding innocent people and helping them escape. Some were even spies.
How shapeshifting, masks, and hiding aren't always bad things, just as the posts above write.
Spiritual espionage--Foxes and Ocelots.
As many of our ancestors did--working from the shadows.
Let's face it, not all of us can be public, especially as long as Fafnir and his minions have a place at the white castle. Not all of us have skills to be public. Not all of us have those community building and strengthen skills. Not all of us are meant to be leaders of people. Not all of us need to be public, open, loud and proud. Leave that stuff to those who can. If you feel the need and have a way, work in your own ways. Fight in your own way. Survive in your own way.
We need to support each other and stop the blame, the invalidations, and the damn infighting--stop being pawns to the rich and powerful, and doing as predicted.
Or...let them fight amongst themselves and blame and be puppets, and the rest of us will do the work. Just as others have always done. Hey maybe those who can't stop fighting each other are meant to--unknowingly being distractions.
"The other day, Ivo Dominguez, Jr. shared a reminder on Facebook that I needed to hear—and I know many of us do, too: “Don’t waste energy on those who are not ready, not interested, or are more interested in sparring than dialogue.” Save your energy for those willing to engage meaningfully. Conserve your strength for the real work at hand" (Mat Auryn). Not everyone is meant to be on the frontlines. We have to protect ourselves, or we're no good to the vulnerable and other targets.
I will continue to serve my Gods without resentment (been a rough week for lots of us, huh?) and work with the spirits, building and strengthening those bridges, doing my part in all of this. I will continue my protection work. Continue my healing work. Continue growing and honing my skills. I know where my strengths lay.
One foot in the Other, One foot here.
