Writing Pet Peeve

You know what I don't like about the DP essays?  How some of the criteria is straight forward and some of it is cryptic.  Like, I had my last essay proof read and it checked all the boxes for the criteria.  But then the Reviewer said that a lot of students fail it the first time because what they actually want is xyz.

THEN SAY THAT THE FIRST TIME!   

If a lot of people are failing it the first time, that means whoever's in charge of writing this shit up needs to go back and edit the criteria.  It's not rocket science.  Just be straight forward.  What is it you want us to write about?  Explain it plain enough for those of us who're new and veterans.  Explain it plain enough that those of us who're neuro divergent and typical can easily understand it.  

If many students fail this essay their first time, EDIT.  Make it easier to understand.  It's not that difficult.  I don't get why it hasn't been revised yet?  Also there's different versions of the criteria floating around.  If the DP is as important as it seems, then work on it.  Delete the outdated and unclear.  

I knew I was taking a chance with writing Essay 6 the way that I did, I knew it was going to be a rewrite, but what irked me was that the Reviewer said that a lot of students fail it the first time.  

Why?  This program is annoying enough.  Revise it.

Say what you mean.  Irks the shit out of me.

Yall want us to be clear?  It's a two-way street.  I shouldn't have to go to multiple people, websites, and books to figure out what yall want from an essay.  This is all introductory stuff.  Plain English, yall.  Honestly for me that is the hardest part of these essays, is understanding the criteria.  What do you want the first time?  I don't need to waste my time writing shit up yall ain't looking for.  I have blogs for that.

Get all the criteria on the same page and make it plain.  What are you looking for with these damn essays?

All right, rant over.  Time to refocus and re-do.  Again I'm not upset that I need to re-do this essay.  I already figured that I was going to need to (I'm grateful for the Reviewer's questions and direction--I should be able to pass Essay 6 this time!).  I'm annoyed with the "students usually fail this essay the first time".  It's just not necessary.  Just revise the darn criteria--make it clearer.  Just put the Reviewer's words on the Criteria list for others.
